Part 3.

Yes, I even started my own YouTube Channel. This is just to facilitate the uploading of videos.Eventually, I’ll post some guitar lessons and other videos here.

Right now I have a video from when Songo was on a TV program called “Latin Eyes.”

There is also a video an old promo video for the Disco/Funk parody band I played guitar in, Superbooty.

Lastly, I have linked to my brothers final project from grad. school where he studied digital animation, because I helped him out with the sound.

Carlos Palomares Musician - Educator - Producer After earning a B.A. in Music at UC Berkeley and attending the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) in Los Angeles, Carlos Palomares taught and performed guitar extensively in the San Francisco area for over a decade. Carlos’ teaching experience included running a home teaching studio with students of all levels, of all ages, and in diverse genres. In addition to teaching, Carlos performed professionally in a wide variety of bands, including rock, blues, funk, disco, and traditional Cuban son. Carlos’ performance experience includes nine years as a guitarist in Superbooty, one of San Francisco’s most in-demand disco and funk party bands. Superbooty headlined San Francisco’s legendary Fillmore Auditorium and performed on bills with George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars, Morris Day and the Time, Digital Underground, Los Lobos, and more. Carlos collaborated with the singer Hector Quintana to write songs and form the band Songo. The music drew from a variety of musical influences from rock, blues, jazz, and Afro-Cuban music. In 2000, Songo entered the recording studio; Carlos formed a record label and publishing company, Mo-Bana Records and Music, and produced the CD and to release, Havana Soul which received international press and airplay. Recently Carlos earned a M.A. in Ethnomusicology at the University of Michigan where he studied popular music in Cuba and African-American music and was a teaching assistant for a course on the history of American popular music.
